All these attempts to control the web under the guise of protecting copyrights, fighting piracy, ect. makes wonder; do any of these lawmakers, politicians, lobbyists, and businessmen even understand the web?
It was designed to withstand a nuclear holocaust.
They are going to waste millions of dollars trying to control what can not be controlled. Millions of dollars will be wasted on outsourcing the “great firewall of the world” which script kiddies with half a brain will be able to get through. Everyone will just go around all the rules and nothing will have changed.
Much like ultra expensive copyright protected CDs defeated by felt tip markers.
